Camp Bisco Returns in 2015 with Massive Lineup

Camp Bisco will return on July 16 – 18 at The Pabilion at Montage Mountain & Montage Mountain Waterpark in Scranton, Pennsylvania after a one-year hiatus.  Besides obvious headliner The Disco Biscuits, Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, STS9, Big Gigantic and Tipper are all seen on this years bill.

North Coast Music Festival Artist Lineup Announced

North Coast Music Festival is thrilled to announce the lineup for this year’s festival, which takes place during Labor Day Weekend from Friday, September 4th through Sunday, September 6th. Featuring three consecutive days of hip-hop, jam, indie, rock, R&B, electronic beats, and everything in between, each year North Coast transforms Chicago’s historic Union Park into a massive party for Coasties to indulge in Summer’s Last Stand.
For the 6th annual year, NCMF brings together a more diverse range of genres than ever before, and continues the tradition of pushing emerging artists to the forefront while appealing it’s broad musical scope to an equally diverse crowd. Returning headliners THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS are back this year after closing the inaugural NCMF in 2010. Additional 2015 headliners include R&B star D’ANGELO AND THE VANGUARD, who is riding high off the release of his first album in fourteen years, plus a very special SURPRISE ROCK HEADLINER that will be announced on Tuesday, May 12th.
The eclectic lineup features a wide range of artists including The Roots, Wale, Tycho, Atmosphere, Porter Robinson (Live), The Glitch Mob, Chromeo, Portugal. The Man, Booka Shade, RAC, Nahko & Medicine for the People, supergroup Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Shpongle (Simon Posford DJ Set), and an exciting performance from New Orleans’ premiere funk band Galactic joined by Macy Gray, plus many more.

The Disco Biscuits, Steve Aoki, Knife Party, Dirty Dozen Brass Band are among the artists who return to play the festival, along with Gramatik’s Lowtemp labelmates Exmag, who made their debut performance during NCMF 2013. Local favorites returning this year include Chicago house legend Green Velvet, Future Rock, who will be performing for the sixth year in a row, Chicago’s resident DJ Zebo, along with up-and-coming acts like electronic jam producer Manic Focus, jazz and soul singer Lili K, rising alternative rapper Skizzy Mars, and blues-infused funk bands like The Heard, The O’My’s, and The Main Squeeze.

This year NCMF will be bringing back the popular Silent Disco, as well as the “Living Gallery” presented by Elder Tree graffiti area. The music doesn’t stop when the festival hours end, as North Coast hosts a variety of after parties around Chicago at some of the city’s finest venues. After parties will be announced as the festival approaches, and tickets holders will have the opportunity to purchase advance tickets before the general public.

North Coast Music Festival was originally founded in 2010 by a group of independent promoters who came together to create an urban taste-maker festival of emerging and established artists from a diverse range of genres. Between them they produce hundreds of Chicago-based events each year, including multiple festivals in the Midwest, one off events at Chicago’s premiere music venues, street festivals, and more, that attract thousands of fans and artists from all over the world. Last year, NCMF celebrated it’s 5th year anniversary and sold out of 3-day passes for the first time, with nearly 60,000 people in attendance.

Wakarusa Music Festival Announces Full Music Schedule

The 12th annual Wakarusa Music Festival music schedule has been announced! The 2015 festival will feature electrifying Main Stage performances by Umphrey’s McGee,The Floozies and Gigantic Underground Conspiracy on Thursday, followed by Chance the Rapper, STS9 and Big Gigantic on Friday. The Roots, Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals and Major Lazer will headline the Main Stage on Saturday and closing out the festival on Sunday evening: Portugal. The Man, Lotus, and Thievery Corporation. Wakarusa Music Festival will take place at the magnificent Mulberry Mountain in Northwest Arkansas June 4-7, 2015.

WakarusaPoster2015For the second year, Wakarusa will showcase a new era of art, creativity and interaction on Mulberry Mountain with the Mulberry Mountain is My Muse art grant program. This year the program will welcome 20 art installations, over 15 visual artists and collaborators and over 100 roving performers. This year’s festival will include a plethora of activities including, disc golf, yoga, hoop and flow workshops, and a Friday evening costume contest and parade, lead by MarchFourth!. Additional activities include a Sunday morning drum circle with Brandon Draper, rides on the Waka ferris wheel, hiking, canoeing, rafting, tubing, fishing and more!
In addition to hundreds of food and craft vendors, patrons will also have a chance to visit Wakarusa’s, non-profit area: BLVD for a Better World. BLVD For A Better Worldwill feature 10 regional and national non-profit organizations whose goal is to help promote political, environmental, health and social activism. This year’s non-profits include: Rock the Earth, Conscious Alliance, Love Hope Strength, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Mulberry River Society, Native Expeditions, HeadCount, Leave No Trace andArts Society of Ozark.
New this year will be the Wakarusa Farmer’s Market, organized by The Arts Society of Ozark and several local agricultural non-profit organizations. Fresh produce will be available on-site and brought in from local gardeners and farmers all located in Franklin County, AR. Patrons will have a chance to enjoy fresh vegetables, honey, jams, jellies, cheeses, free range eggs and more.

2nd Annual Chicago Nightlife Awards Enters Top 5 Voting Round & Announces Celebrity Appearances

The Chicago Nightlife Awards started in 2014 to praise the brave souls that live and breathe the entertainment industry, honoring the hard work of bands, producers, promoters, bartenders, avant-garde personalities and more. This year we are pulling out all the stops, featuring hand-picked performers and presenters including Scott Lucas (Local H), Lauren O’Neil (WKQX), Violetta Milerman (Real World Chicago), Stylz & Roman (B96) and Jade Sotomayor (RuPaul’s Drag Race) to celebrate our nominees.
Last year’s inaugural show saw over 700 attendees and this year is sure to be another home run with a slew of musical performances, presenters and guest appearances confirmed. Chicago Natives Autograf Release New Remix of Alesso’s ‘Cool’

Riding high off the success of their recent debut original release ‘Dream’, Chicago natives and 2015 hot tip Autograf now return to deliver their official take of Swedish producer Alesso’s ‘Cool’.

With the original already garnering over 10 million streams on Spotify alone, this remix is primed for release on Def Jam Recordings and marks the next step up for one of the hottest emerging acts of this year. In the midst of scoring nine Hype Machine number 1’s, racking up millions of plays on SoundCloud, penning their own successful productions and supporting Klingande on his North American tour, this remix is the latest example of truly high quality material delivered by the production trio. Summer Set Music & Camping Festival Full Lineup Announced

The fourth annual Summer Set Music & Camping Festival (SSMF) returns to the beautiful Somerset Amphitheater in Northern Wisconsin with the festival’s most impressive lineup yet. Known for showcasing an eclectic mix of hip-hop, indie, and jam-style artists alongside some of electronic dance music’s most sought after producers and DJs, SSMF is set to deliver a diverse lineup featuring over 70 artists, performing across five stages.

This year’s headliners include dance music phenomenon DEADMAU5, which marks his only announced Midwest festival appearance, mysterious R&B mega-sensation THE WEEKND, and bass music innovator BASSNECTAR, who returns after an unforgettable set in 2014. Summer Set mainstays BIG GIGANTIC will also return for their fourth year with a very special jam session. Featuring a wide variety of performers across multiple genres, other artists include Action Bronson, Rae Sremmurd, Die Antwoord, and Earl Sweatshirt to Thievery Corporation, Lotus, Odesza, Tune Yards, Shiba San, Carnage, Tchami, and more to round out the bill.

As Summer Set continues to grow, the festival grounds will once again expand to provide music enthusiasts with the ultimate experience and atmosphere. For the second year in a row, the festival adds another stage with increased production, bringing the total number of stages to five. The new stage, dubbed A Live One, will feature critically acclaimed bands with live performances from Purity Ring, Tycho, Tanlines, Lettuce, Railroad Earth, and many more.
2015 marks a special year for Summer Set’s hip-hop fans as Wu Tang’s Ghostface Killah hits the stage with Toronto jazz trio BADBADNOTGOOD for one of their notorious live performances. Additionally, in celebration of the 20-year anniversary since the release of their renowned second album, which includes the Grammy Award-Winning Song “Tha Crossroads,” Bone Thugs-N-Harmony will be performing their full-length album E. 1999 Eternal in full.
To accompany the eclectic lineup, Summer Set provides festival-goers with affordable VIP camping packages that offers unrivaled amenities and perks, including private restrooms and showers, full assistance from dedicated VIP staff members, access to all after parties, and private viewing areas at the Main Stage and Grove Stage, plus much more. Attendees will be provided with preferred on-site parking and advanced entry to “The Woods” VIP campgrounds, beginning on Thursday August 14th at 4:00 pm, ahead of the General Admission ticket holders. Free professional massages, and an additional mini-stage featuring intimate DJ sets exclusive to VIP campers, will also join the VIP amenities in 2015.
SSMF has taken extensive fan feedback into consideration and is dedicated to providing the best possible experience year after year for the fans and artists. Camping prices have been significantly reduced, starting as low as $99 per campsite, which equals roughly $22/person to camp for the weekend, and there will be more experiential interactive elements than in past years.
